Westside Breakers Youth Academy Begins on Friday, January 20th
The Westside Breakers Youth Academy will held on Fridays from 5:15-6:30 pm at MacArthur Field begining on Friday, January 20th. The Friday night academy is for girls that are currently playing U7, U8, or U9 soccer and are looking for some extra training by professional coaches. The Academy will run for 12 sessions through the middle of May. Please email Ryan Hosler (hoslerryan@gmail.com) for details on the exact dates of the Academy and for the rest of the information. Girls U10 Win the Pats Jr. Cup Championship
The Girls under 10 team coached by Nick Holton won the Pateadores Jr. Cup on January 7-8 in Irvine. The team finished with a record of 3 wins and one tie and had 13 goals for and 2 against. This tournament is part of their preparation for the upcoming state cup tournament at the end of January. Congratulations ladies!

Breakers U17 White Repeat as WCFC Classic Flight 1 Champs
The Breakers U17 White team coached by Jason Kelly achieved an incredible back-to-back championship victory at the West Coast Futbol Classic tournament, August 20-21. Returning to the tournament as defending champions the Breakers U17 White team was once again seeded as underdogs but proved the critics wrong in winning this highly rated tournament.

9 Breakers Selected to Summer ODP Pools
A total of nine (9) Westside Breakers players have been selected to the 2011 Cal South Olympic Development Program summer Player Pools. In the 1996 player pool, the following Breakers were selected: McKynzie Dickman (U15 White), Catherina Gores (U15 White), Maribell Morales (U15 White), Stacie Moran (U15 White), and goalkeeper, Charlee Pruitt (U15 White). In the 1997 player pool, the following players were selected: Chloe Castaneda (U14 White), Courtney Corrin (U14 White), Quinn Frankel (U14 White), and Denae Verdine (U15 White). Four (4) of the above players, Courtney Corrin, Quinn Frankel, Charlee Pruitt and Denae Verdine, were invited to the ODP Western Regional Camp. Congratulations to all nine players on a great accomplishment!

Two Westside Breakers Players Invited to the Girls U14 National Team ID Camp
We are excited to announce that forward Courtney Corrin (U14 White) and defender Denae Verdine (U15 White) have been selected to participate in the US U14 Girls National Team ID Camp in Portland, Oregon from July 31st through August 7th. The camp features 72 of the most talented female players in the country who were born in 1997 or 1998 and is being run by US Soccer Women’s Development Director and former UCLA Women’s Head Coach, Jill Ellis.

Breakers in Texas
Breakers Take the Texas Shootout College Showcase by Storm
The Westside Breakers combined 94/95 squad coached by Jason Kelly travelled to Houston Texas for the 2011 Texas Shootout College Showcase. Co-Coached for the weekend by Technical Director, Mike Page, the squad took the tournament by storm winning two games and tying one to conclude a fabulous weekend in Houston.

Westside Breakers Join the Southern California Developmental Soccer League
The Westside Breakers have joined about 30 other youth soccer clubs in Southern California in the newly formed Southern California Developmental Soccer League (SCDSL). The goal of the SCDSL is, "To allow all participating clubs to have the freedom to make decisions that are in the best interest of all their players and to place the League’s priority first and foremost on true player development."
